About the Wrights:
We are have four children, aged 2 to 11, including a first grader and a fifth grader at Grassland Elementary. We work in research at Vanderbilt. We have been so grateful for Church of the City and the call to spiritual formation it has brought us. We feel blessed to get to serve as community group leaders and are looking forward to growing as a group!
Group Description
We live in the Grassland area, near Temple Hills, about half an hour northwest of the Franklin campus. We are a group of young families with kids ranging from babies to 11 years old, with more on the way! We meet together each week on Wednesday nights, rotating through a four-week cycle, with men meeting in person, then everyone on Zoom, then women in-person and then Zoom again. Fortunately for all of us with young kids, this means we are able to meet regularly without needing a babysitter.
We also meet once a month at our home with all the kids, typically on Fridays at 5pm, for a community group dinner party! For our Wednesday night Zooms, we typically discuss the sermon, share life updates, and pray for each other. For our ladies/men in-person gatherings, we may discuss a set of podcasts, a book we’ve been reading together, or readings from the Formation Journal. We are here to do life together and encourage each other!

Group Vision
We aim to “spur one another on towards love and good works”, helping each other grow in faith as we practice the way of Jesus. In the coming season, we aim to grow in our friendships and provide encouragement for one another!
