To help our team make the best possible mentor match, please share as much detail as you are comfortable with, knowing that this information is confidential between you, your mentors, and limited COTC pastoral staff.

Marriage Mentoring Agreement

Our marriage mentors may use one of several assessments to help couples increase awareness of the strengths and growth areas of a couple, stimulate discussion of important issues, and teach communication and conflict resolution skills. It is not intended to predict marital success and it is not to replace professional judgment.

Marriage mentors are godly men and women who have been married for at least ten years. They are committed to God and to each other. Mentors have gone through training and receive support from the COTC pastoral team; they will also receive ongoing training and equipping from trained professionals. They are not, however, licensed counseling professionals. If the mentors discover issues that they are not equipped to handle, you may be referred to a professional counselor.

All communication between you and you mentors is considered confidential, except as required by law (i.e., where there is a risk or threat of harm to self or others).

By checking the box below, you affirm that you have read and understand this agreement.
